Works but loud
March 02, 2026I had a new heatpump and high efficiency furnace installed about 2 months ago. The heat pump has had issues so we have been on the furnace almost 100%. It took a few visits for the installer to figure out how to get the staging to work properly - not sure why it was so difficult but I have two stage control from the thermostat now which has been nice. I did not opt for the Lennox thermostat which would have given me variable speed control. I wish the installer would have explained this, it was a surprise to me that my variable speed furnace was not actually variable speed unless I spent another $1,000 on a thermostat. I took off 2 stars because this thing is LOUD - much louder than my 1995 80% Lennox furnace this replaced. There is also a vibration like the fan wheel is out of balance but the installer says it's normal. I guess we'll see if it fails prematurely.

February 21, 2026Nice and quiet,more evenly distributed heat throughout home. Have notice some savings, but too soon to say how great . Only had it for 1-1/2 months. Happy thus far Total Plumbing and Heating from Westlock were very efficient and professional. Would recomend them .
